The club started the Women’s Development Program about 8 years ago. Every year a program is organised dedicated to the knowledge, skill acquisition and development of women. The program is designed for women to make life determining decisions through the different problems in society. Economic empowerment allows women to control and benefits from resources, assets and income. Raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, training and the freedom to pursue desired goals. Women’s development helps in boosting the status of women through training, self-awareness and well-being. Empowerment of women enhances the quality and quantity of lives and enables development and self-worth.
On September 19 2021, another edition of our WDP program was held with the name MUNCH AND MINGLE and the theme: KNOW YOURSELF, GROW YOURSELF, BUILD AUTHENTIC CONNECTIONS. A workshop fellowship and keynote on women and why Authenticity matters. Gain a mirror of self-awareness as well as a window to better see others. Building your own self confidence and increase your ability to relate and connect with others. Our virtual guest speaker was Gladys Agwai, an Atlanta-based Founder and CEO of Ignite Within Transformative Coaching and Consulting and our very own Coach and Facilitator, Patrenia Werts Onuoha.
